Looking Back
Listening to Andre Bocelli ,Sogno album,pondering what happened last weekend.
For the second year i organised a sport event in the village or kampong , a Sepak Takraw competition for the village folks in the hope there is an activity for them in this rather slow moving and subdued environment.
But alas problems and challenges crops up from the beginning nothing major until towards the end when the folks complain of a new format, with intention to boycott and not participating.Then the issue of sponsors not forth coming after writing to them for help many months ahead.Well, its all a matter of persuasion and how serious are you to pursue the sponsors.I did get some interesting sponsor, in kind ,with a mere one minute phone call and my art of diplomacy.
Back again to what a close friend and partner adviced me NEVER do an event without a confirmed sponsor or you get skinned.
I will stick to that adage from now on.
